Can I Use Cerave Sa Cleanser With Retinol

CeraVe Renewing Cleanser

CeraVe is one of my favorite skincare lines. In fact, it may be my favorite skincare line. Virtually of the products are gentle and the line is affordable. I've also had numerous dermatologists recommend that I use CeraVe products for every skin problem that I've ever had (dryness, eczema, acne). Since these products come up recommended to me by people with much more skincare instruction than me AND that these products work for me when I use them, I trust this make. Whenever they launch a new product, I'm eager to try it.

This jump, CeraVe has launched a new cleanser, Renewing SA Cleanser. (SA stands for salicylic acid). This is an extension to their popular SA line (that includes cream, lotion, serum).

The claims:"CeraVe® Renewing SA Cleanser exfoliates and detoxifies to remove clay and oil while softening and smoothing pare.  Unlike some exfoliating cleansers, CeraVe® Renewing SA Cleanser contains no harsh beads or grains and is gentle on pare.  It amend prepares skin for essential hydration by helping to slough off dead skin cells while cleansing.  And, like all CeraVe® Products, it hydrates and helps restore pare'southward protective barrier. Helps detoxify and exfoliate to remove dirt and oil.  Salicylic acid helps soften and smooth skin.  three essential ceramides help repair the skin barrier.  Enriched with antioxidant vitamin D.  Gentle and non-drying.  Not-comedogenic and non-irritating.  Fragrance free."

So, information technology's a cleanser that claims to gently chemically exfoliate skin while removing dirt and oil. The company recommends this product for those with normal skin types.

The wait, the fragrance, etc.: It'south a articulate gel without any fragrance. Information technology comes in an convenient pump canteen.

Quick reminder of my skin type: Well, information technology used to be dry but information technology's been crazy the by few months. I'm at present dry out with some acne.Ugh, FML.

My experience: Let me start by saying that the other CeraVe cleansers haven't really done much for me. They're simple and gentle, just I haven't repurchased them. I wasn't "wowed" past them. I didn't know if I would similar this i or non since I usually prefer cream cleansers.

This gel foams slightly and to my surprise, it easily removes makeup (including thick, stubborn Korean BB creams). My daily makeup washed off and so easily. The formula is easy to rinse off. My peel isn't left feeling moisturizing (I mean, it'south not a moisturizing cleanser) but information technology isn't left feeling tight either. My pare is left feeling soft and smooth just like the packaging promised! It makes my skin the perfect base for all of my other products.

As far as exfoliating goes, you lot're withal going to want a BHA, AHA or retinol cream/lotion/gel for that. None of these exfoliating cleansers will ever replace those. At present proverb that, in comparison to those physical exfoliating cleansers or scrubs, this cleanser does but as skilful of a job WITHOUT whatsoever stupid microbeads or irritating walnut shells or shards of glass or whatever information technology is that those scrubs employ.

Overall, I recall I love this stuff. This is the CeraVe cleanser for me. I know this line isn't exciting. The packaging is plain. Information technology'southward fragrance-gratis and available at drugstores. But, it works for me so well. My skin loves this line and this cleanser has been a bully addition to my usual routine. I mean, all I want my cleanser to do is cleanse my pare without irritating it or making information technology worse than it already is. And this product does that…and likewise makes it feel polish.

Who may like this? Anyone with normal or normal to oily/combo skin wanting a gentle cleanser. I also think it would be good for sensitive peel types because it'southward fragrance free. This is good too if you want an exfoliator that cleanses and doesn't have microbeads or ouchy scrubbers.

Who may not? Anyone with really oily skin or actually dry pare. CeraVe offers other cleansers for those types. The salicylic acrid is really mild in this (you wash information technology off) just if you are sensitive to it, don't use this. I as well remember if you wear a lot of makeup and want to employ this as a makeup remover, that it won't work. Information technology removed my usual makeup but if you lot wear a lot, yous're going to demand to double cleanse or utilise an oil-based cleanser (yet, it would however be great for morning use). And y'all may not like this if you lot want something that seems "fancy" – similar smells like jasmine or costs as much as a monthly student loan payment (this is a really "simple" cleanser).
